About
Hi, I’m Stephen Danelutti and socialWRKS is where I write about Social Business related topics – see some definitions below. I share insights from the work I do here (where permissible) and I experiment, learn about, review and share my findings on new technologies, research and practices here. I also make and share general observations about things that interest me and use I this site to help structure my thinking. Take a look at the solutions page to see some examples of the work I have done.
Simplicity, Creativity, Difference and other important things
These are the three things I have identified as being fundamental to everything I do. Not only are they important for me but I believe they are for you too – I hope you agree :) Below is an overview of how I try and tackle big, hairy, social business challenges – it follows the 3 criteria I focus on:
Some Social Business definitions:
Social Media: The output of web-enabled, open collaboration using social technologies.
Social Technologies: Tools used to communicate, collaborate and create collateral on the web
Social Business: An organisation that has built a strategy around leveraging social technologies and social media to maximise the relationships with all company stakeholders and for business purposes.
Collaborative Relationships: Open, transparent and mutually beneficial relationships between an organisation and its stakeholders as a result of working more closely together.
Stakeholders: An organisations managers, employees, customers, partners and society at large
A little background and where I currently work:
I started socialWRKS some 6 years ago, beginning with Confluence from Atlassian. I cut my teeth on Confluence but subsequently expanded my knowledge to other similar organisations and systems. I’ve acted as a Social Business consultant helping organisations of all kinds with understanding social technologies in a work context, how to implement them and most importantly, how to foster the culture change needed to make them work. I now work at Yammer facilitating customer success and I do so in the belief that it is best placed to deliver on the promise of Social Business.
