Roundup of the best social business research and analysis 2012

I carried out this exercise at the end of 2011 and it seemed to go down fairly well so here is the list for 2012 (I tracked all the new research that I saw being published throughout the year). Beside this I learn loads in the process – I hope you do too :) I indicate clearly where it is free or paid for and where you can access the reports. One final note is that I have covered off in a little detail some of the better pieces but ultimately there is no real order of priority nor timing between any of the pieces. (more…)

Social Business Systems: Beyond Engagement
The transformation in IT systems has not been better plotted than by Geoffrey Moore – check out this really amazing video series. He talks of the transformation from systems of record to systems of engagement. I absolutely agree (although not everybody does) that we are transforming in this way and at an advanced rate. Where one system has dominated how we get work done, in a very short space of time entirely new systems have been created and led by consumer use of social technology – so called consumerisation of IT.
